A stylish planter box perfect for your kitchen herb garden. Made from reclaimed Messmate strips that are made into a frames and artfully stacked to create a unique box oozing with character.

The box is glued together with waterproof glue and sealed with waterproof paint to ensure that it remains free from leaks and rot. This is a 'self-watering' planter box where an aluminum overflow outlet allows excess water to drain once it reaches this level.

This box has been designed to put your plant pots directly into the box. Using a simple well draining plastic grow pot creates a barrier to retain the potting mix and allows excess water to flow out into the base of the box.
 
Each size of Horizon Planter Box will accommodate grow pots with a diameter of 140mm and height of 170mm.

The Horizon Planter Box can also be potted up directly: No plastic pots required. The internal waterproof coating protects the wood, enabling the box to withstand the moisture and microbes from direct contact with potting mix. When planting directly it is important to add rocks or barrier to ensure that the water can drain out of the inbuilt water overflow tube.
